Heya,
I’m Anna Voß, although you often find me spelled as Voss, because ß is just too cool for pretty uppercase font styling (or the internet) ... yet. I am a designer and illustrator based in Darmstadt, Germany.
I’m Anna Voß, although you often find me spelled as Voss, because ß is just too cool for pretty uppercase font styling (or the internet) ... yet. I am a designer and illustrator based in Darmstadt, Germany.
I studied Communication Design and Graphic Design at the University of Applied Sciences Darmstadt and the University of the Arts London (Camberwell College) for six years. In July 2017 I graduated from University of Applied Sciences Darmstadt with a degree in Communication Design. (Diplom-Designer (FH))
I think of design as a transfer medium for education, because an astronaut's life can start with that one colourful book about the stars, and a writer's life can start with that one book cover that caught their eye. I believe design works when it has reason and when it is beautiful and think it should always be approached from a holistic point of view to ensure it's desired impact.
I am especially interested in semiotics and how it intersects with typography, design and the way we communicate in a visual manner. I care about multilingual typography as a way to bring two cultures together.
This website mainly deals with my design work, but you can find more illustrations on my instagram.
